Our Lovely New Buttons!

c.1765-75

These have been utterly based on some buttons from a Frock Coat in the Snowshill – we wanted to work on a replica and there was totally no point going to all the effort of copying the pattern and the construction techniques if the actual visible buttons looked nothing like the originals.

Through Greenleaf Armoury, we were put into contact with Lionheart Replicas who have done us a sample set of 40 buttons with the hope of doing more. We are so pleased with the buttons!!!!

In the post we’ve got photos of our buttons and photos of the originals! We’ve also got their info, though they’ve not been listed yet in our shop.
